Jim, affectionately called Don Gringo by the community, with sacrifice and effort, became an expert coffee grower and roastmaster; a new passion grew within him, and he works hard to create awareness that in this little corner of the world, coffee gives back to families and improve their lives.What does 'We Buy Direct' mean?To us, coffee is not a commodity, we maintain close relationships with Coffee Farmers in our community, Don Gringo lives in Huancabamba, Peru, and knows about the problems coffee growers and their families go through. We pay them more than brokers do, to make their and our business sustainable, they know our quality standards and always bring us beautiful and flavorful coffee, grown healthy, without using chemicals, pesticides or any other harmful products.We know Organic and other certifications are important, and we wil eventually get them, but we are a small company and lack the resources to finance them, for now.
